World In a Cube

Up and down, right and left, its same door looking to the rest
tick tick tick tick … … tic tac toe
Life has got us all on our toe

With the clock twisting her neck, I twist myself from my bed
Pushing myself all through the way I park myself in a bay
I got to work when I say I am a jerk
Isn’t that silly and I do feel pitty

In this big world I have taken a small refuge
I have been living my world in a cube
World in a cube, world in a cube
I have been living my world in a cube

tick tick tick tick … … tic tac toe
Life has got us all on our toe

Choosing a green pill against the red was naïve
Leaving my dream I am waging the same crusade
I have torn canvas of my life
And sewed that together with the mercy of choice

I am locked in this cage, busy in building my own sage
I am living in a delusion
Paying my debts without a redemption
I have been living in a cube

tick tick tick tick … … tic tac toe
Life has got us all on our toe

Leaving the open spaces I look for the closed
Instead of seeking help in the people
I check out my juke box
Instead of feeling warmth of one’s heart
I listen to the rumbling stomach of my box

In this big world I have taken a small refuge
I have been living my world in a cube
World in a cube, world in a cube
I have been living my world in a cube

tick tick tick tick … … tic tac toe
Life has got us all on our toe
